The Unilever Brazil case

Our Unilever case on marketing laundry detergent to the rural women of North East Brazil is coming alive!  After weeks of intense discussion, debate and the deliberation we are close to putting the finishing touches on the case.  To me this case was an excellent capstone of everything MKTG 431 offered – a realistic case, a significant business opportunity and well entrenched consumer habits and behaviors – that all need the magical touch of marketing strategy to grow the business.  The added focus on promotions and advertising made it especially interesting for me – I loved the ideation around the marketing promotion program and tying our ideas et al to the core brand essence we recommended.  Along with the rest of Formula One, I am looking forward to seeing the final assessment on this case and learning what Unilever really did in the Brazilian market!
