Kohorts – Ready, Set and Go
A few weeks ago a couple of us started noodling the idea of starting a new club. Soon, this talk became action when a team of about 25 students came together to collaboratively brainstorm ideas, propose an organization structure and then get some funding from a generous third-party to get us off the ground.
Kellogg Kohorts (I think Jason came up with that name) was going to be our umbrella organization to ensure coordination and communication with existing Kellogg clubs and entities – we Saturday travelers have some unique needs that we hope this new entity can serve.
Well, last Saturday we got the formal okay from the KPTSA (our Student Government) and we are on the way. Next up is elections and I am seriously considering changing my potential role in the Club … moving from a startup co-chair to focusing on a specific vertical area. Special Events, Marketing and Consulting are three ideas that are spinning around right now. However it goes, I know the Club will be hugely successful and one more reason why folks from far flunged places like Boston and New York ought to consider the Kellogg Saturday MBA program!
